Meet Your Coach

Hi, I’m Sara.
Chess Coach, Educator, and Lifelong Player
My love for chess started long before I began coaching. After years of playing, learning, and competing, I’ve spent the last four years coaching young players and creating engaging, supportive lessons for students with different learning styles and goals.
I don’t expect every student to become a tournament champion. I want every student to discover what they’re capable of.
Whether your child is new to chess or looking to strengthen their skills, my goal is to meet them where they are, help them build confidence, and give them a positive, encouraging chess experience.
How Coaching Works
A supportive, engaging process designed to help each student grow.
We Explore
We start with your child's current level, interests, and goals.
We Practice
Students work through games, puzzles, and challenges designed for their level.
We Reflect
We discuss what worked, what didn't, and what they discovered.
We Grow
Each lesson gives them new skills and confidence to take into their next game—and beyond.
